Native de Selinsgrove, en Pennsylvanie, aux États-Unis, je me suis installée au Québec en 2002 pour apprendre le français… et trouver l’amour au passage. Maîtrise en littérature anglaise et certificat en enseignement de l’anglais langue seconde en poche, j’enseigne l’anglais depuis 2004, principalement auprès de gens d’affaires.
Au fil des ans, j’ai développé une méthode d’apprentissage dynamique qui permet à mes clients de s’améliorer en continu et de développer leur autonomie.
Mes principaux champs d’intérêt : la lecture, la poésie, les promenades le long du fleuve Saint-Laurent.
Originally from a little town in central Pennsylvania (USA) called Selinsgrove, I moved to Quebec in 2002 to learn French…and I found love along the way! So my short term trip of 2 years has lasted much longer than planned! Here in Quebec City, I did a master’s degree in English Literature at Université Laval for which a graduated with honours. I also earned a certificate in teaching English as a Second Language. I have been teaching English since 2004, mainly to businesspeople.
Over the years, I have developed an approach closer to coaching than to teaching that allows my clients to continually improve their language skills while developing their autonomy in the learning process.
My main interests : reading fiction and personal development books, poetry, walking along the Saint Lawrence River.
