It’s that time of year again. The time to think about the person you want to become in the coming year.
Yet, resolutions seem to be made to be broken!
So, why bother?
Because it gives you a chance to reflect on your values. Are your day-to-day actions in line with your key values?
Your goals for the year must be grounded in your values for them to take shape. For example, if your family is your first priority, then your resolution may revolve around spending quality time with them. Knowing that this goal is in tune with a core value makes it much easier to attain.
Then, of course, you have to put a plan into place. Set aside time in your calendar for working on your goal. Want to improve your English this year? Spend an hour a week with one of Verbatum’s English coaches, either in person or online.
And maybe the most important key to actually reaching your goals this year? Keep it FUN! If it’s fun, you won’t stop. And at the end of 2019 you will look back with pride!
